Mapping Pertexa NAS Drive
Depending on your operating system the steps to map the drive will be different:
- If you have Windows 7:
i. Open File Explorer (This looks like the folder Icon on the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen.) Alternatively, open the start menu and click on “My Computer”
ii. Click on “Computer” on the left side of the window.
iii. Towards the top of the window, underneath the address bar, click on “Map Network Drive”
iv. In the “Folder” field, type in https://pertexafanestra.synology.me:5006
v. Click “Finish.”
- At this point a separate window should pop up asking for credentials to login into the drive. Input the appropriate credentials which should have been provided to you. Make sure you check the box that says “Remember these credentials.” This ensures that you do not have to login every time you try to If you have Windows 8/10:
i. Open File Explorer (This looks like the folder Icon on the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen.) Alternatively, open the start menu and right click on “File Explorer.”
ii. Click on “This PC” on the left side of the window.
iii. Towards the top of the window, click on the “Computer” tab.
iv. Click on “Map Network Drive”
v. In the “Folder” field, type in https://pertexafanestra.synology.me:5006
vi. Click “Finish.”
vii. At this point a separate window should pop up asking for credentials to login into the drive. Input the appropriate credentials which should have been provided to you. Make sure you check the box that says “Remember these credentials.” This ensures that you do not have to login every time you try to access the drive.
- If you have Mac OSX:
i. Open the Mac OSX Finder
ii. On your keyboard press Command+K
iii. In the “Server Address” field, type in https://pertexafanestra.synology.me:5006
iv. Press “Connect”
v. At this point a separate window should pop up asking for credentials to login into the drive. Input the appropriate credentials which should have been provided to you.
